SPRINGBORO, Ohio — May 19, 2016 — R.L. Drake announced today that they will demonstrate its Award-Winning PEG Encoders that optimize multi-point video distribution for public, educational, government, and sports applications at the 2016 InfoComm Show, June 8-10, in Booth # N1652 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The PEG-NE24-IP is a stand-alone MPEG-2 or MPEG-4/H.264 digital encoder with a single digital SD/HD-SDI input. For applications requiring analog input, the PEG-NE24-IP-C offers both Composite video and audio inputs as well as the single digital SD/HD-SDI input.
Industry-Leading PEG Channel Encoding
The units are scalable, and three can be mounted in an 1RU rack chassis for an equipment headend, so that operators can efficiently transport SD and HD video and audio PEG signals over existing hybrid fiber coaxial networks, eliminating the need for expensive dedicated links or bandwidth-hungry analog sub-band solutions.
Pair the PEG-NE24-IP-C encoder with R.L. Drake’s new ND-24-IP network decoder to provide a high-quality, end-to-end IP video delivery solution over managed networks. The decoder includes a Zixi Receiver input, allowing for robust content delivery over unmanaged networks including the public internet, when used together with Zixi Feeder.
