R.L. Drake Showcases High-Quality Video Over IP Solution in Booth # 308 at NCTC’s Summer Show

SPRINGBORO, Ohio — July 14, 2016 — R.L. Drake, an industry leader of developing innovative electronic communications for cable television systems, digital television reception, video signal distribution, and digital video encoding, will exhibit their new solutions at NCTC ‘s 2016 The Independent Show (Summer),  July 25-26, in Orlando, FL — Booth # 308.

PEG Encoder and ND-24-IP Decoder with Zixi Application 
Drake’s newly released ND-24-IP is a low cost professional MPEG-2 and H.264 decoder that is capable of receiving content from off-air, clear QAM, and IP sources. The ND-24-IP has the ability of outputting video content in SDI, HDMI, and component formats simultaneously. SDI outputs are available in 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, or SD-SDI.

The ND-24-IP can be used as a stand-alone high-quality decoder, or used in conjunction with Drake’s Award Winning PEG encoder, the PEG-NE24-IP-C with Zixi link license to provide a point-to-point, reliable IP video transport from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. The ND-24-IP features a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) for front panel setup, and easy to use management controls through an IR expansion port or an IP web-based GUI.

HITS Satellite to Cable Transcoder Module, SCT2x4 PLUS
Drake will also showcase their recently released SCT2x4 PLUS Satellite to Cable Transcoder system, designed for the Headend-in-the-Sky (HITS) satellite service. The unit was specifically developed for 8PSK transponders using DVB-S2 error correction. Each SCT2x4 PLUS module contains two independently controlled satellite tuners with input frequency ranges of 950 – 2150 MHz.
The compact design allows for deployment of four (4) transcoder modules (8 transponders/16 QAM), including the power and control module in 3RU rack mount. GUI-based menu, including SNMP-based management provides remote monitoring/control capabilities.
