DDC864 Digital Signal Downconverter

DDC864 Digital Signal Downconverter

The DDC864 is a low noise downconverter designed for translating digital television signals from their off-air or CATV channel to a 44 MHz IF output. This output of the DDC864 can be connected to a DUC series upconverter to place the digital signal on a new output channel.

The DDC864 provides low noise figure and low phase noise as well as a flat passband to minimize signal deterioration.

Drake Digital DDC864 Technical Specifications
RF Input
Frequency Range: 54 - 864 MHz,
off-air channels 2-69,
CATV channels 2-135.
Operating Considerations:
1. When the DDC864 is usedwith the DUC550 or DUC860 the RF input channel should not bethe same as the output channel. All other channel combinationsare available. For "on channel" conversion, the DUC864must be utilized.
2.The standard version of the DDC864 is optimized for use withATSC 8VSB modulation in a 6 MHz wide channel assignment. Thepassband is designed for optimized operation with 8VSB signalsin an adjacent channel environment. Special order versions optimized for QAM modulation or 8 MHz channel bandwidth are available.
Input Level Range: - 30 dBmV to +30 dBmV.
Input Impedance: 75 Ohms, return loss of 8 db.
Noise Figure: 10 dB typical.
Image Rejection: 55 dB.
